1. Educational Purpose
FinWhale (finwhale.org) is an educational and informational project. It exists to help visitors learn how public financial disclosures — SEC filings, STOCK Act disclosures, and market data — work, by aggregating and presenting them in plain English. It is not a commercial financial service, broker, exchange, or research firm.
2. Not Investment Advice
Nothing on this site is investment, financial, legal, accounting, or tax advice, and nothing here is a recommendation or solicitation to buy, sell, or hold any security. FinWhale is not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, or financial planner, and no adviser–client relationship is created by using this site. Importance scores, headlines, and narratives describe newsworthiness of public filings — they are never trade signals. Always do your own research and consult a licensed financial professional before making investment decisions.
3. Data Sources & Accuracy
- All filing data is sourced from public records: SEC EDGAR (Form 4 and other filings), U.S. House and Senate STOCK Act disclosures, and licensed public market-data APIs.
- Headlines and narrative summaries are generated automatically by software from structured filing data. They may contain errors, omissions, or outdated information — including errors present in the original filings themselves.
- Filings can be amended or withdrawn after publication. FinWhale processes amendments automatically, but there can be a delay before a correction appears.
- Every event links to the original filing on SEC EDGAR. Always verify against the original source before relying on anything shown here.
- Data updates on a daily schedule and is not real-time.
4. Insider Transactions Are Not Tips
Insider trades shown on this site are lawful, publicly disclosed transactions reported to the SEC, typically days after they occur. They are historical public record — not material non-public information, and not an indication that anyone should imitate them. Insiders buy and sell for many reasons unrelated to a company's prospects, and many sales are made under pre-arranged 10b5-1 plans scheduled months in advance.
5. No Warranty & Limitation of Liability
This site and its data are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, FinWhale and its operator are not liable for any losses or damages arising from use of, or reliance on, this site or its content.
6. Not Affiliated
FinWhale is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the U.S. Congress, any government entity, any company mentioned on this site, or any other financial data service.
7. Corrections
Named individuals and companies appear here only as stated in their own public filings. If you believe any information shown is inaccurate, contact lalitbhardwaj26@gmail.com — verified errors are corrected or removed promptly.
8. Third-Party Links & Affiliations
External links (including SEC EDGAR) are provided for convenience; FinWhale is not responsible for third-party content. If the site ever includes affiliate links, they will be clearly disclosed where they appear.
